Hey Church Family!
So we are looking to put together a little bit of a special project for Sunday, June 8th. We would like to put together a couple of video testimonies from members of our HCC family and play them for the church during our service.
If you would like to be a part of this please let me know. All I would need is for you to set up a time next week to come in to the church and tell me about your story: How you came to know Jesus; some ways that God has cared for you and loved you through hard times; some important lessons God has taught you during trying seasons of life; etc... I have some questions prepared to help you sort of organize your thoughts, so don't worry if you feel a little intimidated by giving your testimony - it will be so encouraging and edifying for the church body to hear, firsthand, the ways God has worked in your life! So please, don't feel intimidated or shy.
Remember the blind man in John chapter 9? He was born blind - blind from birth. But Jesus came along and miraculously opened his eyes - this blind man saw for the very first time! When the Pharisees asked him about Jesus all the no-longer-blind man could say was, 'Look, all I know is that I used to be blind and now I can see. How can a man give sight to a blind man if he is not from God?'
The blind man's testimony was simple - but so incredibly profound! 'I don't know much about Jesus, but what I do know is that I once was blind - but now I can see!' But that testimony revealed the glory of God to everyone who heard it, including us! Jesus worked in this man's life both to bless him and to bless others, but ultimately to bring glory to His name - to God's name.
And that is what we want to do for our church family on June 8th. So if this is something you might be interested in please call the church at 768-3767 and leave a message with Kathi or Jaclyn or email me at aplawson7707@gmail.com to set up a time to come in next week.
I love you all and can't wait for the privilege to hear what God has done in your lives!
